Transparency In Politics Certification Seal
What does the Transparency In Politics (TIP) Certification Seal mean?
The Transparency In Politics Seal (TIP Seal) means that an elected official/candidate has ordered a PeopleTrail background check, reviewed the results, and has sent to report to TIP. Once the candidate signs the agreement with TIP, TIP simply posts the report on the website (click here).
TIP makes no comment about anything included in the background check report.
Elected officials or candidates who earn the TIP Seal can use it on their website and all their official or campaign materials.
TIP is impartial and nonpartisan.
We have to emphasize that Transparency In Politics (TIP) does not endorse elected officials or candidates in any way. TIP does not vet candidates or make any comments about the background check report. We give voters accurate, unbiased information so they can make informed decisions at the ballot box. We stake our reputation on trust and integrity and we know that voters can make good decisions when given accurate information.
Transparency In Politics does not comment on background checks or disclosures. The actual content of an individual background check report is not the most important thing. In our opinion, it is more important that individuals were willing to disclose their history and have it verified. If a candidate refuses to share their background check, we wonder why.
